Previous Raiding Experience, please be very detailed:
Limited Vanilla/TBC raid experience.
WotLK cleared all regular content, was working on HM ICC as progression (cant remember perfectly what was done)
Cataclysm:
BWD 6/6 Heroic. BoT 4/4 Reg, 4/5 Heroic. TFW 1/2 Normal, 1/2 Heroic. Firelands 7/7 Normal, 1/7 Heroic.
Mists of Pandaria: Currently cleared all LFR content, no 10-man or 25-man experience.
Previous Guilds (why did you leave?):
Riot. Quit the game during Cataclysm.
Do you know any current Riot members that would vouche for you?:
There's a handful of raiders who can vouch for me from when I was Phirlexi. As for my Deathknight, not many people can vouch for how well I can play him.
Availability (7:30pm - 11:59pm Tues/Weds/Thurs), can you make all of these days and times? If need be can you make additional days and times with sufficient notice[during progression for exmaple]:
Availability is not an issue.
Rough description of your system[CPU/RAM/Graphics Card]:
AMD Athlon II X6 1055t CPU
4 GB DDR3 Ram
NVidia GeForce 560ti

Do you have a working mic, are you mic shy?
Yes I do, and no I am not.
Why Riot?:
Legitimately, you guys are the only guild on Dunemaul I have any interest in playing in. I want to raid again and I've seen other guilds recruiting but I don't want to go somewhere else to raid. I like you guys and want to raid again with all of you.
If you arena what is your average arena rating?
Garbage. I am bad at arena.
How do you prepare for a new encounter? What online resources do you use besides Tankspot to prep yourself for raid night?
Tankspot, MMO-Champion, etc. I just study the fight and then apply what I can learn to the encounter as I play it. I'm also very adaptive and learn on the fly extremely well.
Link your most recent logs showing your DPS/HPS on a few fights?
Don't have any unfortunately, thankfully tank DPS isn't overly important atm. Can try and get some screenshots from Recount tonight during LFR if you would like though.
What mods do you use? Why do you use these mods?
Bartender4: Customizing where my UI is.
BetterPowerBarAlt: Customizing where my UI is.
Elkano'sBuffBar: Customizing where my UI is, also easier to track buffs/debuffs with.
ForteXorcist: Allows me better management of my cooldown timers.
Mik's Scrolling Combat Text: Customizing how my UI looks, dont like blizzards.
Omen3: Threat management.
Recount: To see my mad deeps.
Titan Panel: Aesthetics.
X-Perl: Customizing where my UI is to make it more functional.
DeadlyBossMods: Staple mod for raiding.
The guild is working on downing a new boss, you have 90% attendance, then all of a sudden the raid leader cuts you from the raid because he wants to try out a certain raid composition. How would you react?
Honestly, I'd be upset obviously. Getting cut from a raid never feels good. I'd get over it, but I'd definitely not be overly happy about it. Would I make a scene? No, I'd shut up and deal with it.
What do you do to prevent yourself from dying to mechanics like Void Zones, Brain Links, or Legion Flame? And take this question very seriously. Many of the hardest encounters in this game require you to stick to your rotation while keeping mobile. "LOL I DUNNO I MOVE OUT OF THEM" is not an answer.
Honestly, I just learn what mechanics exist on a boss and how to deal with them. If needed, pop a CD to survive if you get clipped accidently / find yourself in a rare position that you can't get out of it in time. Study the raid and learn what the boss does is all you really can do. If I don't fully understand the mechanic I'll ask someone about it so that I don't f**k up.
Post a picture of your UI (even better, post a pic of your UI with recount showing your DPS/Heal meter). Give us a brief explanation of your UI, do you set up your UI so that it makes it easier for you to notice encounter debuffs, or void zones, or fire?
