RIOT Application:
Name: Joe
RL Age:21
Class and Spec, Are you willing to change specs for specific fights?: Prot warrior, Frost mage, yes
Professions, why did you choose these professions?:
mining, tailoring on the mage, these talents were selected to support my warrior as a MT during BC
Armory Link of your main toon and your lvl 85 alt toons:
(insert pvp bg gear here)
Previous Raiding Experience, please be very detailed:
Warrior-PVE DPS through vanilla into late AQ and early Naxx, MT of Dignitas of dunemaul into early sunwell content, deployed to Afghanistan after alittle bit of WOTLK and stopped playing until recently
Previous Guilds (why did you leave?):
Akama-Warpath
Dunemaul-Dignitas
Didn't leave either
Do you know any current Riot members that would vouche for you?:
Nope,
Availability (7:30pm - 11:59pm Tues/Weds/Thurs), can you make all of these days and times? If need be can you make additional days and times with sufficient notice[during progression for exmaple]:
Sure
Rough description of your system[CPU/RAM/Graphics Card]:
Brand new macbook pro w/ extra expensive internet.
Do you have a working mic, are you mic shy?
Yes, and no
Why Riot?:
I asked around, and was pointed here.
How do you prepare for a new encounter? What online resources do you use besides Tankspot to prep yourself for raid night?
I'll watch a youtube video, do some pushups, drink some coffee, you know, get in the zone.
What mods do you use? Why do you use these mods?
I don't use anything, just whatever threatmeter you guys want me to pick up, mods create a dependency, I'm perfectly capable with stock UI.
The guild is working on downing a new boss, you have 90% attendance, then all of a sudden the raid leader cuts you from the raid because he wants to try out a certain raid composition. How would you react?
I'd do some homework like i probably should have been doing in the first place. And listen to some country music.
What do you do to prevent yourself from dying to mechanics like Void Zones, Brain Links, or Legion Flame? And take this question very seriously. Many of the hardest encounters in this game require you to stick to your rotation while keeping mobile. "LOL I DUNNO I MOVE OUT OF THEM" is not an answer.
I pay attention, and learn the fights, I have a lot of MT experience, I'm using to running everywhere, plus my character likes to stay in shape, can't be standing around casting all day.
Post a picture of your UI (even better, post a pic of your UI with recount showing your DPS/Heal meter). Give us a brief explanation of your UI, do you set up your UI so that it makes it easier for you to notice encounter debuffs, or void zones, or fire?
Stock, maybe I'll change it when I start raiding, the game has changed a lot since I stopped playing, so I've got some work to do.
